If we sign Lofton and draft Blackmon in the 1st and Lamar Miller, Doug Martin or David Wilson in the 2nd, and a LB in the 3rd.......mine would move too. I think the Bucs like what they have at receiver now though.

Going to be a real intriguing draft.

I have this feeling if Blackmon is on the board Bucs may begin spreading buzz about trades - enough so that the Bucs could get a pick from Rams to swap places. Rams really, really want Blackmon.

Then we get Richardson and an extra pick.

I love where Bucs are sitting.

^ Could still get our RB in the early 2nd.

None as good or close to Trent richardson. Which is why he will be our pick at 5.

That doesn't seem very attractive.

I actually like the idea...in this league you need to be excellent at something...let's have a top 5 , exciting offense. Blackmon in the 1st, martin in the 2nd, Travis Lewis in the 3rd.  V-jax, blackmon, mw19, benn, Winslow, blount, and martin....Freeman would have no excuse not to have top #s. Crazy good offense.

That would go against what Schiano says his philosophy is, run first.

I actually think with the O Line we have now - our.most effective running formation would be a 3 receiver set and Blount as the single back.

Defenses are forced to bring in a nickle back and they can't crowd the box or Freeman will burn them. Seems like taking candy from a baby. Either Blount runs over them - or they over commit to run and VJax, Blackmon and MW carve them up.

If you want to keep drafting in the top 5 every year you would make a pick like this.  Horrible idea.

I just did ..... And it moved. Seinfeld fans know what I'm talking about. Yep, it moved.

Trust me the thought had "passed" my brain. It would give opposing defenses fits. Throw in Winslow at TE and that would be a nightmare matchup wise.

Have said this already. Many times.

It is not a luxury to completely move players around. It would be a nightmare to deal with!

Just to add: the Giants offense ran predominantly from a 3 receiver set with Nicks, Manningham and Cruz.

I think Sullivan will favor the same offense.

So don't just dismiss the idea of Blackmon being selected. Especially if the Bucs are not as high on Benn, Briscoe and Parker.

I just thought of a BennedAround with Nicks as the pulling guard... and it moved.

Yeah, but going into the season without serious upgrades at LB and Safety from the 32nd ranked run defense will cause considerable shrinkage. Without even going in the pool.

Yes they are, RB's pretty much got a narrow window of talent in the NFL, one of the few positions an undrafted RB can play as good as a 1st rounder as a rookie, not to mention the barely noticable difference between a 1st and 2nd round RB.

At end of day, I just want Bucs to stick to their board with that first pick.

Take the highest rated player regardless of need. That's the best approach. Worry about crowded positions later.

Exactly. BPA. That's what this team was built upon years ago. If I where the Bucs then my top 5 board would look like this

-Kalil
-Claiborne
-Blackmon
-Coples
-Richardson

IMO

1. Luck
2. RG3
3. Claiborne
4. Kalil
5. Blackmon
