Guys my source tells me he has dined with new Orleans brass but has infact left without a contract, I also hear they like Hawthorne more so don't read into this too.much .

My guy says this is great news for the buccaneers, loftons price is too high and he may have to come down soon but when he does Atlanta is going to push hard, that's when I would like to see him finally choose tampa. My hopes are still there till my source says otherwise. I'll keep you posted.

Remember guys we did lose 10 games in a row last year. Only way we got Vjack and Nicks to come here was to overpay a bit. The bucs didn't think Lofton was worth overpaying because he's not worth overpaying. He's not that good. Solid but not elite. Bucs will have to win some games before guys are willing to come here on the cheap or cheaper.

True. IMHO I thought we'd pay Nicks and VJ about 1-2M more per season. But Wright was overpaid about 2M per season so I suppose it evens out.
