That's very reasonable if you ask me. Get it done Dominik.

Wow. That's a damn bargain for the lions. Wish the Bucs made an offer to him.

It is, and it reduces Lofton's price more.

As much as I believe it sets the market for MLBs, i'll play devil's advocate and say he offered a hometown discount.

I figured that since I didn't see that he was visiting other teams. Lets hope Hawthorne or Lofton are picked up.

That or he had to drop his price. Remember he didnt want to get paid less than 6 mil. What took so long was the Lions werent willing to do that. He was forced to drop a few mil overall.

Doesn't really matter though. Between his and Connor's deal the market is what it is now. Wouldn't be shocked to see Lofton resign with Atl for a year though and try again next season. With those knees though he would be playing with fire imo.

I think they realized the market was set at a specific range and the next decision was to decide on where to play after that....Detroit was a good fit last year and made sense if there were no other offers blowing it away.

So how long is this guy going to sit and wait for a team to pay for his big price?  I haven't heard an update on Lofton in days, which seems like an eternity with all that is going on around the league.

FWIW I tweeted Stephen Holder to see if would drop a nugget but he replied "Nothing...Has been very quiet"

I'd guess before the weekend is over we'll know where he's playing.
