So how long is this guy going to sit and wait for a team to pay for his big price?  I haven't heard an update on Lofton in days, which seems like an eternity with all that is going on around the league.

FWIW I tweeted Stephen Holder to see if would drop a nugget but he replied "Nothing...Has been very quiet"

Too quiet.

I just don't see where else he fits...it seems like the Bucs have all the leverage now that his suitors have been drastically reduced.

Sign Lofton to the exact same deal, plus 1 dollar

Even if it was five years for 27M, it's still a pretty good deal for both sides.

He's not quite as good as those PFF numbers.  Hardly a sniff by any team other than the Lions.  He's good, solid, but not great, which means he is WWWWWWAAAAAAAAYYYYY better than anything the Bucs have :-)

Wow. That's a damn bargain for the lions. Wish the Bucs made an offer to him.

He's the guy the Titans got rid of to replace with Ruud.   If he gets 5 million a year, does that mean Ruud should get more than that?

It's looking like that was a bad move.

Wouldn't be shocked to see Lofton resign with Atl for a year though and try again next season. With those knees though he would be playing with fire imo.

But a team that signs him to a long-term deal wouldn't be?

No it will definetly be a risk for the team that signs him long term as well. Hopefully if he does sign here MD front loads it like he is know to do that way if the knees become a problem after a few years the team has an out.
