David E. Wilson‏@4stillRunningReply
Headed to Tampa bay today that's all the info you get

Like.

+1 Dude is electric!
Absolutely. A haul of Claiborne + Wilson is a GREAT haul. Wilson will bring back that Warrick Dunn type ability for us.

Is it a waste? I wonder if teams usually max out and bring in 30 non-local guys for a visit, or if they usually don't use all 30 visits. Schiano, from Rutgers, could be impressed with UL-based Bellamy for whatever reason. If Bellamy goes undrafted, perhaps it's best to have already spent time with the guy so that he accepts your offer to come to your team as a UDFA. According to the source, the Pats and the Seahawks will also bring the guy in.

Nfldraftbible.com
Big week in Pro Day Land between Alabama and South Carolina, where nearly a third of the potential first round picks performed. Next, NFL scouts traveled to watch Ryan Tannehill (Texas A&M) and Brock Osweiler (Arizona State) throw on back-to-back days. Never heard of Cody Pearcy? You should. Not familiar with the prospects with Utah State? You will. We have pro day notes galore, sprinkled in with some other notable news like which Georgia player is considering entering the Supplemental Draft, why NFL agents are rejoicing and where Chris Simms has landed...as a coach. But first, here are some notes from the aforementioned Game**CENSORED**s pro day workout.

All 32 NFL teams were in attendance at South Carolina pro day on Wednesday, including Steelers GM Kevin Colbert, Jets HC Rex Ryan, Bengals DC Mike Zimmer and consultant Terry Bradway.

DE/OLB Melvin Ingram (6014/265) left scouts abuzz with an impressive display of athleticism and quickness during position drills. Most scouts believe he is better suited as an OLB at the next level due to his size/speed combo and short arms. Ingram may have worked himself into a top ten selection with his performance.

WR Alshon Jeffrey (6026/213) had a solid showing and was timed under 4.50 in the forty yard dash and added a 36 ½” vertical jump and 10’2 broad jump. He’s likely to be taken in the top 40 and possibly even crack the backend of the first round.

CB Stephon Gilmore (6005/189) stood on his combine times and did enough in position drills to warrant consideration as the second cornerback drafted.

IMPORTANT DRAFT NOTE: The NFL players' union has voted to repeal a rule that prohibited certified agents from having contact with college players until the student-athletes have been out of high school for three years.  NFLPA spokesman Carl Francis said Tuesday that player representatives from each team voted to eliminate the so-called "junior rule" last weekend.

Here are other notable pro day performances and updates from our Twitter account this past week.

Justin Blackmon, Fletcher Cox visit Rams
by Aaron Wilson of Scout.com, April 9, 2012 at 9:59 pm ET

Fletcher Cox Profile

Oklahoma State star wide receiver Justin Blackmon and Mississippi State standout defensive tackle Fletcher Cox visited the St. Louis Rams today.

Cox also has visits with the Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers and the Buffalo Bills, according to a league source.

The top receiver in the draft, Blackmon already had a meeting with the Miami Dolphins before his Pro Day workout.

Blackmon was clocked in 4.41 to 4.46 seconds and 4.45 to 4.50 seconds at that workout after not running the 40-yard dash at the NFL scouting combine.

Blackmon also registered a 10-4 broad jump and a 35-inch vertical leap.

Blackmon is a two-time Biletnikoff Award winner and earned All-American and Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors.

As a sophomore, he caught 111 passes for 1,782 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Last season, Blackmon hauled in 113 passes for 1,337 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Cox has also visited the Dallas Cowboys and the Tennessee Titans.

Cox is an athletic 6-foot-4, 298-pound All-Southestern Conference selection.

He recorded 56 tackles and five sacks last season.

Cox blocked five kicks for his career.

He finished his career with 114 tackles, 24 1/2 tackles for losses and 8 1/2 sacks.

Cox had 29 tackles, 6 1/2 for losses and 2 1/2 sacks as a junior.

Cox chose Mississippi State over LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Colorado.

I know it's just crazy, since we do have the most talented dline in the nfl....

I'd hope it's a forward looking projection on Dlinemen because of lack of depth in coming years...

Go get Bridgewater.   Do what it takes.

Former #Game**CENSORED**s QB Stephen Garcia will have a private workout for the #Bucs tomorrow #NFL

The Tampa native doesn't lack the talent, but his immaturity has gotten the best of him. Stephen Garcia was suspended from the South Carolina program 5 times for various violations (mostly having to do with alcohol), with the last violation resulting in an indefinite suspension. If he has his head on straight he could be a solid developmental QB for the practice squad. I have my doubt about him, though.

No.   No arm. No accuracy. No vision.

He is a ruining teams qb.    Maybe they want insight into Gilmore or Jeffrey or lattimore next year.
