Who knew how good it would feel as a fan when we now know what it\'s like for our team to have a direction, an attitude, and dare I say an offense?.

Good time to be a Bucs fan.

It is unique.    Lots of bellyaching round this place.

Drives people off - or at least keeps 'em lurking.

Weird

Any player must give quality AND quantity to be considered significant. I would gladly accept the same quality from McCoy if he could play 15 or 16 games.

I hope Shiano puts him in his place and has him covering Kick offs to start the season. The guy has not shown he's a starter in this league much less a "star" that he promotes himself as.

Not saying hes a bad guy but I'm just tired of the All Show No go with this guy.

Either you don't watch any games or you have no clue what you're looking at.

Before McCoy was injured this past season he was a beast.

Stats aren't everything/don't tell the whole story.  Learn it.  Remember it.

DT's consistently getting sacks year in and year out are the result of one of two things...either:

a) a once in a lifetime type player who redefines the position (hi warren, how have you been lately?)

b) a breakdown/mistake by the quarterback (not necessarily his line...but the quarterback himself).

a dt's job is not necessarily to get stats, but to apply pressure.  McCoy was beastly last year...he and Grimm were the lifeblood of the defense.  He more than did his job well enough to be considered a starter (pro-bowler?...maybe not...but starter, definitely).

Also, the injuries that happened to him the last two years will not happen to him in the future.  Those are once in a lifetime injuries, and the surgical fix for them precludes them from ever happening again.  He will have to find some other way to land on IR if he does manage it.

People say that McCoy will stay healthy because he can't tear his biceps anymore but he also injured his ankle and shoulder last year before going on IR.

Well said.

It should be added though...that he needs to stay healthy next year.

Agreed. IF he stays healthy ALL season, he could possibly reach star level. Dude has the talent. I hope he's working on his upper body strength.

McCoy's stat on the number of seasons completed without being injured (ZERO) tells a heck of a story.
