See, I didnt get that out of it.

I didn't understand the whole ritual thing.. And then why every horror movie cliche was trapped in a box.

It was kind of an "inside joke" type of movie - they were making fun of the way horror movies follow a certain formula. In fact, almost all movies follow that same formula, as do almost all books.

One of the best movies I've seen all year:  Dredd 3D. It was also one of my most anticipated movies as well. I'll probably go see it again. It opened up in 6th place for its opening weekend lol. That's horrible, I was really hoping for a sequel. It did open up in the UK at #1 though, which is understandable since Judge Dredd is a British comic book character.

"Looper" is getting excellent reviews out of the gate...I will definitely check that out.

I liked cabin in the woods. Totallly unsuspected and good entertainment.
I just saw battleship and while it had pretty damn good effects and action, the story line sucked balls.
Silent house sucked as well and gets an F for being scary.
Looper looks intriguing but I'll wait till some of you see it and see what you think before watching it.

Anyone see Samaritan? Its at redbox with Samuel L. on the cover and Im curious if its any good before renting. I rented the letter yesterday and boy what a dissapointment that was

- Battleship was fun to watch in theater, but the story line was weak.
- Cabin in the Woods was a win, definitely lol.

Haven't checked them out yet, but Seven Psychopaths, Moonrise Kingdom, and The Master should be good. Argo looks interesting as well.

Watched "Looper" last night. Not bad. Was expecting a little more...but pretty solid flick. JGL does a great job.

Loopers was pretty good. It's just you are going to have to put aside all the paradoxes the plot completely ignores. A few logical holes.

If you can just watch the movie without over-analyzing it, it's enjoyable.

I thought Taken 2 was a bit boring and predictable.   I liked the first one far better.

Dredd was shockingly good though.   I enjoyed that.
