Love it!!!  He's proven.  He's a leader from the best program in the toughest conference.  And he knows what it takes to be a champion.  Well done!

1/3 of them wanted Richardson
1/3 of them Claiborne
1/3 Kuechly

Dom is catching it from every group at once LOL

Surprise pick for sure, but welcome to Tampa Mark!  Lets go kick some butt!

Don't everyone get it twisted, Barron is a stud safety.  ESPN said Schiano wanted him to be the QB of his defense.  If Foster is staying at MLB, then Kuechly didn't make sense.

Foster staying at MLB doesn't make sense.

I'll trust the coaching staff on that one.  New set of coaching eyes, and yet they're still keeping him there.

How many times have we heard that one on draft day?

With claiborne and keichly there and still taking barron means they liked barron more

Clearly, Claiborne was picked at 6.....

Even if you get off my island, Goldson and Barron are right there. You want to go across the middle and get tattooed, it is what it is. - Revis Isle

I don't like what we got in the trade but I like the player. We needed a safety and he's a Damn good one.

Don't forget, we have Ron Cooper on our staff who knew Clayborine as well as anyone and we passed, he also Played against Baron 6 times over the past 4 seasons. He watched the guy play and thought: "I want to coach that beast"

Ron, well played sir.

Barron helps the pass D & run D. Claiborne & Kuechly (although great players in their own right) couldn't do that.

Good pick.

the Bucs gambled on the possibility of Claiborne being there at 7. They had St. Louis picking ahead of them who weren't likely to take him. To say they passed on him is probably not entirely correct.

Pretty much summed it up right there Balla...

Somewhat anticlimatic, but Barron was the best saftey available.

We needed one - badly.  The guy being "in the box" in Schiano's defensive scheme will give us an "extra LB" that WILL make us stronger against the run.

Time to grab a bite & probably play a little COD MWIII I think.
