I compare Barron favorably to Adrian Wilson. I never cared much for Claiborne, who I felt was overrated.

I don't hate Barron.. but you get guys like him at number 13, 14 or 15. You NEVER waste a premium pick on a guy that is Bernard Pollard.

no, you see he's Mark Barron.

He is a Bernard Pollard clone. He will miss a fair amount of tackles, be very average in coverage and will be a major reason that Sh**ano will lose his job sooner rather than later.

Big hitter, run stuffer, excellent man coverage skills.  Reach?  Says who?

Everyone in the NFL and everyone doing the NFL broadcasts. The only morons that think this guy is a top 7 pic is Duminik and Schiano (Both of who will be fired within a couple of years).

and these guys:

I liked Ronnie Lott,

\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\"

Shut the **CENSORED** up Al bundy. You don't know **CENSORED** literally how many Mark Barron plays have you watched other then Youtube highlights. You've been **CENSORED**ing about the pick since the chatroom was up. Can't you just support the kid and believe the kid's got alot of potential. I mean damn, so what he played on the best D in college football he was the best safety in this class and I can't name too many other top safety picks that were as good as him since eric berry taken in the top 5? He made the pro bowl his first year. Im not a barron homer by any means, all I got to say is if your a fan of this team and a fan of this sorry ass defense improving this kid better be  a stud. One thing you can see on film or (youtube highlights) which I know your going by is the kids got talent. So STFU and let the kid play.

Barron will have a much greater impact stopping the run than Claiborne would've had. He's our new enforcer.

That's funny. Because I'm watching the draft and Al Bundy I can assure you not one analyst called this pick a reach. Actually before the draft started McShey said if Dallas wanted him we would have to trade up to the top 10 because he wouldn't make our to 14

That is a very good comparison.

I can certainly see that.

Thanks for posting. Mayock backing the pick gives me a huge amount of relief.

He even said at the end "this is going to be a good team"

Warming up quickly to this pick. Anything less than a pro bowl safety is not a good overall pick though.

Not thrilled to hear in the box safety. ATL is moving to a passing team, NO obviously is and CAR will become more pass oriented with Cam so I'm not sure who we are stopping in our division. He's an upgrade but he upgrades us at, again, something not all that important.

I'm also not buying we too all of our time because we knew THIS was the guy. Sure felt like we didn't want to be there.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.
