Don't really see a guy who admits he's not a great blocker as a FB. Screams H-Back to me.

I still think Dunsmore is going to be used as a TE mostly. We're going to be a power running team so why would we be screwing around with an  H -Back ?

The guy Cody Johnson we picked up was good enough to be drafted as a fullback , and he is a true fullback. I think there's a good chance he becomes the starter.

Don't know much about Cody Johnson, but I see he is 5'11" 250lbs which is perfect.

Dunsmore is 6'3" 235lbs.....doens't sound like a FB to me. Lorig is 6'4" 270lbs....also not a FB. I think Robert Hughes (5'10" 235lbs) will be competing with this Cody Johnson guy for the FB spot. Lorig and Dunsmore are TEs going forward.

Agreed , although I think Lorig has a great chance of being cut . He's never been very good and he's injury prone to boot.

Lorig looked really good at TE imo. He's 100x better blocking at the line as a TE than than he is in the backfield as a FB. Plus he showed really soft hands when he was thrown too. I think if you looked up the definition of a Schiano type guy you's see Lorig. I wouldn't count him out.

Did you guys (Jdub and Dj) check the Malcom Brown youtube clip with Cody lead blocking? Good stuff, heading into last year cbssports had Johnson as the #1 FB in the nation.

Block at 4:15 is big time. Cody will have a chance to unseat Ninja Turtle Lorig this year.

If they put Lorig on the line to block, I'll probably kill a small, defenseless puppy. He's downright terrible blocking on the line. Maybe that will change under Schiano, but the few times I saw him blocking on the line, it didn't end well. He did well blocking out of the backfield in my opinion.

I did see where Dunsmore has bulked up to 245 in anticipation of needing the extra weight. Yeah, his route running apparently is extremely good, as are his hands, so situational H-Back looks like a good use for his skillset.
Never saw Lorig blocking on the line, but he was decent in the backfield, and yes, I noticed the good hands too, and the ability to catch the ball w/o breaking stride.
I TRUST Schiano will find a role for him, as both are football mentalities! I suspect another FB will find his way onto the final roster, as Dunsmore probably is more valuable as a receiver than fulltime blocker...

You could be right, but I'd point out that the Redskins and Titans were power running teams and used Chris Cooley and Frank Wycheck as H-backs.

He can be used like Hernandez move him around. TE is not how it use to be guys get moved and don't always have to be on the line.
