Truth is he was around 260lbs-265lbs and he is now down to 240lbs-245lbs.

You really think there is only 20lbs difference from last year's pic to this year's pic?  That might be what they are saying, but the eyeballs tell a different story.

Just because Freeman has been carrying around baby fat until now, and your use to seeing him chubby.....doesn't in any reality, make 6'6" 240lbs "scrawny".

If he still weighed 240, that would be awesome. I don't think he's anywhere near that.

I wouldnt be surprised if he stepped on the scale and was a little under 230.

The only thing that matters is that he feels comfortable. For sure the weight he lost was fat, not muscle. He's in shape and that's great. Johny Unitas was 155 lbs when he started out. He did OK for himself. Freeman will be just fine.

Yes. I do. 20lbs is a lot of mass. 20lbs of human fat would fill up about four gallon milk containers. To me, he looks about 20lbs lighter.

Looks good to me.

In the pictures from the Cardinals game he does look much slimmer than before (imo), but I don't really think it was a bad thing; hopefully he can maintain his health throughout the season and not creep back up to 260+ range.

Damn. Look at Nicks' tree trunk lower legs compared to Zuttah and even DJ. Freeman is gonna like playing behind the Human Armoire!

Dude weighs about 230, IMO.  Probably lost roughly 30 pounds.  He needed to.  I alluded to it a lot last year, that Freeman needed to start treating his body like a temple, and made numerous Taco Hell references as well...glad he stopped doing that nonsense.  It does nothing but benefit him to lose all that unnecessary weight...he looked gassed at times.  Maybe that is why he wouldn;t run, even when the lanes opened up in front of him...conditioning.

Yeah my weight has fluctuated in my life and when I have been heavy it hurts much worse when I fall or dive playing sports. It makes sense that may be the reason he wasn't running so much. It's not like he was so slow but the ground is much more of an enemy 20lbs or 30lbs lighter.

Gotta agree with Biggs...  The "eye test" tells me a lot more than 20 lbs.  And not that it really matters, but... 20 lbs. of human fat wouldn't even fill up TWO gallon jugs.  Much less four.

I have to agree.  Really isn't all that painful...  8)

Exactly. Other people are worried he is too thin.....I'm worried he will eventually go back to being 260lbs. He needs to stay between 235lbs and 245lbs to be the best QB he can be.

I don't want him to lose that ability to shake off would-be sackers in the pocket with sheer strength like he's always been able to do. That's my only fear.

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

Combine and Rookie Year  (248lbs at combine)

2010 Season

2011 Season

I'd say it's a very good thing that Freeman got serious about his conditioning. He was starting to look like Jamarcus Russel last year. To me, he looks slightly slimmer than he did at the combine three years ago when he was 20 years old. He's in the best shape of his life. It's going to be a great year.

Freeman saying he was heavier in 2010 than last season is redicolous.
