Wow...I think everyone expects more and that Schaino will do good because the team is much more talented than it played last year....Raheem paid no attention to detail or discipline (and pretty much a joke of a HC)...Schaino has show that will be no issue with his team, and those 2 things are something this young core of players really needs. Also it doesn't hurt having some new veteran leaders on this team to set an example. Personally I think Schaino's style will fit the pro game better than college.

Olsen was a joke...plain and simple, the offense suffered mainly because he was inept!

Schaino is a player friendly Tom Coughlin...Sheridan is brought to install a Giants like D...Davis is just here for experience and  should fit the role well. The NFL is a copycat league, we are copying the Giants which to me isn't a bad thing. You can call Belichek whatever you want...but like the the old saying goes if your not trying to gain an advantage your not trying, and yes in sports and edge can be cheating...another saying, it's not cheating unless you get caught (and it's pretty apparent it goes on in the NFL)!. Most NFL heads will still agree Belichek is still the best coach in the NFL, so if he endorses Schaino...I'm listening.

And for the Rutgers talk...just remember, it maybe the Big East....but basically he did the equivalent of making the Duke BlueDevils BCS contenders

Perhaps he had the wrong Bee Gee in the Death Pool. I'm looking for a foundation for this team from Schiano this year. I expect improvement, something between 7-9 wins. If we go 1-15, can him and start over but until he actually coaches some games this seems harsh.

To hear some of you talk its like Schiano walks on water and all I have seen and heard is how now that we have a real coach we will be awesome. You guys better hope your boy gets the job done this year, I'm talkin 11-5 and playoffs as let's not forget he inherits a team that went 10-6 a couple seasons ago and now has two extra sets of draft picks and free agents from the great Dominik and Hickey. Place blame on Raheem, that is fine but HE was not the sole reason this team flopped last year. It starts at the top and works its way down. Rah had his issues as did Olson and some other assistants but let's not forget the guys running this team have not drafted a Pro Bowl player since DAVIN JOSEPH and last time I checked even he is a little overhyped. Wow, so the guy won at Rutgers, big freaking deal, it was the pathetic Big East and then the guy never even won the conference. Hey maybe Schiano will work out but to have blind faith in any college coach and a bunch of no named assistants is just foolish. Jimmy Raye, Butch Davis and Sheridan are jokes (please tell me their combined success in the NFL) and while I like the OC, OL and DB coaching hires the other ones are a joke. Some of you like Schiano because BeliCHEAT likes him, hmm how did Crennel, Mangini and others work out? We still have crap for players in Biggers, Lewis, Grimm, Blount, Stocker, Orlovsky, etc its amazing how a guy who is known to struggle with in game adjustments will do now that he is facing the big boys and not the Todd Graham, Skip Holtz, Charlie Strong and other losers of the Big East.

The best way to temper expectations is in a well thought out, objective piece. This bleeds of antagonism which provokes heated backlash instead of thoughtful retrospection which should always be the sole purpose behind a piece such as this.(Unless you're a troll in which case I apologize )

He's done nothing to be really be upset about either though. He hasn't coached any games yet. Till he does he won't get a whole lot of negativity unless people disagree with what he's doing in PRACTICE, but have we really been able to hear much about PRACTICE to complain about coach yet? I haven't. If you have a legitimate concern about PRACTICE and PRESEASON Samari, please let us know. It's really important that we know.

Tell you what.. you expect crap and Ill hope for great things. Bet you I enjoy the next few months more than you do with regards to the team I love to root for.
