To attend this concert....

(I can hardly believe that was already 35 years ago.)

The 1970s wouldn't be a time I'd go back to - since I've lived that time period already.

I'd rather travel the 1950s or go back to the turn of the century (1900).

I'll get to see some of the 70s tonight when I see "Kool and the Gang" open for "Van Halen."

Oh joy.

at least youre consistent.

Not surprising you don't like the Ramones.   Most gays don't.   At least Schucher gets it.   Here's one that will be more to your liking.

For the music, I'd love to go back in time for Beatlemania at its prime. Seeing Woodstock would be amazing. I had a friend who , when he was younger tried to go but after seeing three miles of cars ahead, said screw it and went home. His loss to this day.  I'm not an Elvis fan at all, but before he went "Vegas", I would love to have seen him about the time of the Sullivan appearance.
Granted, little things about the 50's and 60's I could do without like segregation, race riots, and all that good stuff.

If you are black, it would be far worse than today for sure.

If I went back to '77 I'd probably get arrested for laughing hysterically and dancing as I filled up my Bronco with $0.60/gal gas.

IMO, music is so terrible these days.
I can't imagine that there will be many bands/artists that will have this type of longevity in 2047.
Sad what the kids find entertaining nowadays.

Turn the page.

I remember back then making fun of the Ramones for being so goofy.   I always thought their music was pretty good, but I thought there would be plenty of bands as good as them with that style of music.  Turns out there weren't.

As far as the music today, rock is basically dead, but if you like dancing to hip hop, it's better.

Few people from my generation that are really fans of hip hop would classify what's on the radio now as hip hop either. Music in general is basically processed pablum nonsense.

Just as an example, what song would you classify as hip hop?

Do you really care, Java? Serious question. I know how you feel about it. Let's be frank here. You're going to trash whatever song I post regardless of what it is.  ;)
