What?! Everyone has been screaming for this type of engine for about a decade now....looks like we finally got it! I'm actually really stoked for this year's Madden.

It looks so much better. The graphics are cleaner, and the realism is top notch. I hope this will take care of the nano blitzing problems and other glitches in the game to this point.

This madden is going to suck like the maddens before this. Madden aint been good for a long while. EA should just give up its game rights to 2k because NFL 2k was better than madden 2012 was. Lol

I hope the porn video games are going to be using this same technology soon.

...Looks good. I havent bought a Madden game since Madden '06 but this one is looking pretty good. I just hope they fix the AI so that DTs don't chase down Chris Johnson and tackle him from behind...or DBs defending a pass they saw with the back of their head.

Thanks for the sig Java!

They said all new AI .. Players have to be looking at the ball to make a play on it.. It's a all new engine which means all new game for the first time in many years. From my understanding they fired the head guy that has been doing the game for the last decade or so.

The biggest thing about a new engine is that players will no longer get locked into animations, body parts won't "ghost" through other players, and every limb will now be effected by contact. This is a huge step for Madden and for the first time in over a decade it should actually feel like a new game. Seeing as this is the first year with the new physics engine, I don't expect it to be perfect. I'm sure there will be bugs and such, but I'm really excited to buy it and try it out. I had become tired of Madden. Every year they added new stuff that didn't really make a difference because the core of the game was flawed due to an outdated physics engine. This is a giant step in the right direction.

I'm more interested to see what they have done with the Online Franchise mode. Hopefully its a good game, I'm just glad I won't be giving them 60 dollars this year. My game will be free.

I sense there will be glitches with this. Most of the games I play that utilize similar type engines (Physics) end up having over-reactions to certain animations. It's kinda funny, but if it is really buggy, it could be a problem. I hope EA put a lot of work into it. The previews looked great though, I'm excited about the possibilities. Very curious to see what they are changing, if anything in other modes ie; Franchise/Superstar/Create-a-Team/Create-a-Playbook.

Yeah, like I said I'm sure there will be some problems in the first year of a new engine...but hardcore gamers and especially hardcore Madden freaks, have been screaming for a new engine for literally a decade. I have a feeling they might have been working on this for a few years now. Hopefully they have worked out most of the issues by now.

Still, I'm sure occasionally you'll see a guy get hit in the legs as he is leaping and then watch as he helicopters into the stands.

You don't have to wait for EA to change that, you can adjust that in the sliders. Theres a option that lets you adjust how much of a difference there is between fast and slow players.
