I'm sure 1010am will eventually change formats. They'll have no local coverage, so it brings it back to three.

The big difference is 620WDAE has had it's way with the ratings because the signal for 1010am was crap and the content on 1040am was terrible.

This is the first real challenger to DAE. That makes it interesting for me. I'd watch closely on 98.7...as soon as the contracts are up for the Bucs, Bolts and Rays - I'd expect them to aggressively pursue.

The good thing for us who listen to SportsTalk in the area is that competition will make them better.

I felt DAE was getting a little stale with their fat cat status as a "flamethrower". Now they actually have to work for listeners again.

1010 is simulcasting today...I was able to get the 1010 feed on my smart phone.

First big announcement - USF sports will be on the station.

Dan Patrick and/or Cowherd are the only national people I listen to. The Stroud and Jones local show is very good, imo (x100 better than Sileo).  Will occasionally listen to Ron and Ian - both idiots, but the people they interview are worthwhile (Rays broadcasters or beat writers). Will continue with Dui-mig until something better comes around. 1040 ESPN had some good young kids but have been inconsistent with who they're putting behind the mic lately.

We got the Sileo guy down here now  in South Florida. That guy is the worst I ever heard. He's like the Larry Brackins of sports radio.... Trash!

Just an fyi for online/mobile listeners:

Theres something wrong with the stream on the Radio.com app.  And you may have to uninstall then re-install the app for 98.7 the fan to show up in your list.

The CBS Radio app sounds and works perfectly, much better than it did previously.

We were aware that Sileo was bad. Glad that he was fired from WDAE. The new guys have really improved the content with good interviews.

Sileo was unlistenable. I have really enjoyed Mr. Stroud and TJones/TKras

Duimeg is unlistenable. I have always been a fan of Todd Wright. These 2 are SOOOO much better than the Pedd State defender.

I checked in today. Not to bad. I have enjoyed the new show on 620 especially the addition to T-Kras. I personally think he's the best local radio host in the market. Apparently others don't.

Todd Wright is genius.  Not surprising that morgana doesn't get him.
