The knee is a thing to worry about though. Is he ready to play this year?
Doubt it. I just read where he played in a pre-season game and caught 2 passes, then was spotted on the sideline with an ice pack on his knee.

Is he really better than what we have now in Parker and Underwood?

It's definitely debatable .

It's hard to be optimistic over an injured guy cut by the Bengals.
Bengals are a much better team than the Bucs.

Brian Price was a good player when healthy.

. He wasn't healthy in any single game as a Buc.  We don't even know if that is true.

So we pick up an often injured WR to release another often injured WR?

Difference being Shipley is smart enough to actually learn his playbook...  unlike Arrelious Bustulous.

You do have a point there, DJ.

You referring to the sig pic?

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.

Love the pick up but I think people are getting way ahead of themselves. The Bengals cut him for a reason and the reason is likely a bum knee that hasn't healed right. I think this is probably a Jake Ballard type signing where we put him on PuP or IR and see if he can contribute later on down the road. There is a good chance he isn't even on the roster next week.

I just can't imagine Shipley being a huge contributor to the team, especially if he hasn't recovered from injury.
