The Saints have acquired MLB Barrett Ruud from the Seahawks for an undisclosed draft pick.
With their linebacker corps devastated with suspensions (Jonathan Vilma, Lawrence Wilson, and Ramon Humber) and injuries (Chris Chamberlain, David Hawthorne, and Curtis Lofton), the Saints were desperate for help at the position. The 29-year-old Ruud lost out to impressive rookie Bobby Wagner for the starting middle linebacker in Seattle, but figures to be the favorite for the starting job in New Orleans. Once healthy, Lofton will move to the strong side and Hawthorne will work the weak side.

Saints acquire their new MLB LB Barrett Ruud from Seattle for undisclosed Draft Pick. Every RB in the NFC south is happy!
Going into year 5 and our QB is still stuck in his rookie learning curve!!!

The Saints know Ruud well from his days with the Bucs.   It's not surprising they respect his skills.   

This is bad news for Buc fans.   I expect Ruud to be very solid for the Saints.
