Condi gave a "meh" endorsement of Romney and Ryan. I was at the RNC and watched her speech again and didn't hear a glowing endorsement.

You were AT the RNC? Really?

That's interesting as only delegates and Official Republican Volunteers were the only people allowed to get tickets. Which group did you belong to?

Friend of a friend who works for RNC got me in. One of those once-in-a- lifetime experiences, I guess. I was up in the rafters, though. There were a lot of people in the stands that weren't delegates or volunteers.

I heard some jackass call in to the Cowhead show on Friday spewing the whole "if you don't vote, then you have no right to complain about our leaders" garbage.

I felt myself getting rather pissed as that is one stale-ass way of looking at voting. Only lemmings from the left and right believe that **CENSORED** anymore. When the (2) candidates running are complete imbeciles and completely wrong for this country, why waste your time.

Ron Paul, who so many like and believe in and actually feel is not your prototypical, dirty politician, is quickly flushed out by the media.

I'm scared for the future of this country. I really am.

And at the DNC...what are they going to talk about? Obama will blame Bush and the GOP for everything and try to tell us about why America needs socialism. Joe Biden will make a gaffe and the media will ignore it. And Sandra Fluke will tell us how America hates women because taxpayers won't pay for her birth control.

Should be a fun week of finger-pointing, race-baiting, demagoguery, and no talk of how to solve the country's problems.

Well given today's announcement that things are worse than they were 4 years ago it would see we will listen to how it is all Bush's fault.  Still.  Somehow he has managed to keep things from happening between a Democratic congress for two years, as well as precluded effective discussions between dem and gop.  Will be interesting to see if we get an explanation about the efforts from Barry's Blue Ribbon Bi-partisan panel on what economic steps were needed to improve the economy.  That is still in a drawer somewhere - who knows it might come out this week....

No explanation is needed from him to win this election. Like it or not, I really don't see any way that this election will be close. The Romney/Ryan ticket is *yawn*. Also, I feel now more than ever, that the Republican party is out of touch with the majority of Americans. The tea party fundamentalists have certainly helped with that.

Barry could come out in the first debate, look into the camera and state that all of the right's fears about him are true. "Yes, I am a Muslim.", "Yes, I do want to take your guns", "Yes, I do want abortion kiosks in malls and abortion mini clinics at the front of every Wal-Mart in the country", "Yes, I will put the needs of all races ahead of the whiteys"...etc. He could do all this and would still win in November.

They are in the dwindling minority on the gay marriage issue, their repetitive stating that the nation was founded as a Christian nation, the lack of empathy for those less fortunate, when leaders in your party state that their no. 1 goal as republicans should be to see that Obama does not see a second term...instead of..you know...bipartisanship, etc, etc.

Now, my opinion of how I believe a lot of moderate Americans see the Republican party, is not me saying that I think all republicans are evil and are bad for this country....but there are a few who I believe do more harm than good. And yes, that can be said about members of either party.

Thanks for clearing it up. I was curious about your post. Whether or not they are out of touch with America is up for debate. As for me I dont think they have lost America but thats just my opinion. Whether I know they are or not I have no idea. Guess we will find out at the election.

Im beginning to think this country isnt smart enough to do research on their own to find out the real truth behind these people.
