No news there. All scrubs. Gant might be the only guy that draws any interest from other teams.

Ellingson made a lot of good catches during practice. Good hands. Surprised not on practice squad.
that would be a waste of a practice squad spot.

Not that the delay really made me think anything odd was going on but it took them at least 90 mins beyond the deadline to announce these rather predictable cuts/moves? I have visions of Shelton Quarles searching closets and under beds as he attempted to deliver the news.

No news there.

The news is who isn't on the list (Grimm, Parker, Stroughter, Forbath, Cox).

Who expected any of those guys to be cut?

those guys are all on the bubble - and why not the kicker since we have Conner Barth signed to a big contract?

Because he has trade value now....and none of those guys were on the bubble of first cuts. These cuts are for camp bodies that never had much of a chance.

Cutting these 23 guys would get us down to 52. I think they are all in more danger of being cut than Grimm, Parker, or Stroughter.

Desmond Wynn
EJ Wilson
Tyrel White
Daniel Te'o-Nesheim
Keith Tandy*
Bradley Sowell
Frank Okam
James Rodgers
Brett Ratliff
Zack Pianalto
Moe Petrus
Jordan Nix
Mossis Madu
Myron Lewis
Leonard Johnson*
Jemarcus Hardwick
Wallace Gillberry
Drake Dunsmore*
Jacob Cutera
Rennie Curran
Najee Goode*
Landon Cox

Or because somebody other than your big money kicker should handle the kicking duties in the last preseason game.

There's no rush to cut any of those guys including the kicker. He can kick Friday as well and maybe some team is willing to give up a late rounder for him.

Because, you don't release someone that might still have some value, if not to you, then possibly to someone else. At least not in the first cuts. Forbath is still here because he offers a few more days of protection against a possible freak injury to Barth. Additionally, if he kicks well on Wednesday, there might be a team that will trade a 7th rounder for him if they think someone might have a better shot at signing him (that's an extreme longshot, but strange things happen at the end of the off season).
