The Chicago Bears have terminated the contract of DT John McCargo.

I hope he at least gets to keep his frequent flier miles.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

Seahawks released Deuce Lutui. If he can keep his weight down, he might be a guy to look at. Although getting released by the Hawks isn't the best vote of confidence.

Lutui was a PR best bet a few years back, interesting guy for the bucs. Hey we did get Bennett and Wilson from the Seahawks when they were cut, so there's that!

Just read Lutui wasn't fitting the zone in Seattle. Someone should be booking that man a ticket to Tampa, just keep him away from Penn or they will start knocking over buffets.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/08/26/sehawks-drop-deuce-lutui-alex-barron-others/

Terrell Owens let the cat out of the bag earlier today, disclosing on Twitter that he’d been cut.  The Seahawks have now taken to Twitter to announce the release of Owens and various other moves.

Gone are guard Deuce Lutui, tackle Alex Barron, receiver Phil Bates, tackle Edawn Coughman, cornerback Donny Lisowski, cornerback Ron Parker, and running back Tyrell Sutton.

The Seahawks also waived the following players with the “injured” designation: linebacker Jameson Konz, defensive tackle Lazarius Levingston, cornerback Roy Lewis, and tight end Cameron Morrah.  If unclaimed, each man will revert to the team’s injured reserve list.

Lutui, who played for coach Peter Carroll at USC and entered the league in 2006 as a second-round pick of the Cardinals, signed with the Seahawks in April.  Barron, a first-round pick of the Rams in 2005, arrived in May.

Lutui had been listed as the second-string right guard.  Barron was the third-team right tackle.

i think lutui might be a good fit

Deuce Lutui sucks.  I'd rather let Hardman have a go at it.

I'd rather have him come in and compete with Hardman and then make the judgement.
He's a beast when he has his weight controlled.

Has that ever happened since he's been in the NFL?  Why do you suppose he was among the first roster cuts?

Would not shock me to see them go after Deuce Lutui.  Bucs loved him coming out, and although he has underperformed, he still is a batter fit as a ROG in a power scheme than Larsen.

Would love to see us go after Anthony Dixon if the Niners release him.  He's a young power back with great hands who never really seemed to find his way in SF.

Seahawks cut Tyrell Sutton and kept Lumpkin....I still really like Sutton. Gotta be better than Madu if we keep a 4th RB. Could be wortha looksy.
