Just stating what happened. Not saying it was anyone's fault. If I remember correctly, Penn got beat and him taking the rusher and tossing him was out of frustration.

id say nicks-joseph-larsen-hardman is pretty solid depth.

I'm not necessarily blaming it on Penn, but it was his man that injured Joseph - just like it was his man that injured Freeman.  An odd coincidence, I'm sure.

not at all. ive mentioned it already, if penns only job is to force jones to go outside...well then i question that approach.  i wonder more about why ron brace was able to push davin joseph so deep into the pocket.

I have never coached offensive line in the NFL, but after watching the replay of the game 3 times my take is Jones beat Penn to the inside and Penn pushed him to the ground, unfortunately DJ was in the way and Jones landed on his right leg...

DJ was getting pushed around earlier in the game by Wilfork.  I will go back and watch Brace pushing DJ into the backfield.

I thought Larsen played pretty well after he came in; other than the false starts, that is.

I also believe that Hardeman would be a better option.  He is bigger and stronger and played very well starting at RG after Joseph was hurt in 2010.

I believe another possibility would be moving #79 Meredith to guard.  He is solid and much bigger and stronger than either Larsen or Hardeman.
