It's just a cool nickname, it would be a shame to lose it.

Unfortunately he has the same last name as former great Curtis Martin.   So can't go with "My Favorite" Martin.    And Doug is such a plain name, so it's hard to come up with a nickname from that.    It looks like it's better to go with Caddy.

You can call him whatever you want to call him. He was given a nickname by a teammate, and that's what it has been.
