If you ever played football you would know a hit like that would do nothing to the brain because the impact was taking with the shoulders

The video I'm looking at shows helmet to helmet and we know that prolonged hits like that will do damage

I think you're incorrect.

Correct or incorrect the whistle had not blown. Is Barron supposed to assume Smith is out of bounds and stop and let him pass? No flag was thrown, To me the league either lets this hit go or penalize both players.

BTW, Jets All-Pro Darrelle Revis, has a concussion this past weekend after being kicked in the head. Doesn't take much to cause a concussion. He'll likely be off the field while recovering. Hurts his team when he's out with an injury.

The positives of Barron hammering receivers is that they'll think twice about catching the ball, about trying for that extra yard, about blocking him.

The negatives of his hits is his own health. Ask Polamalu how many concussions he's had.
