I get what you are saying BB85....but I hated what I saw at the end of the game. I hated that we had to, for a second straight week, hope for a 1 in a 1,000,000 fumble return for a TD on the last play of the game. That was a terrible performance yesterday....and while there were positives(defensively), if they continue to fail in playing 4 qtrs of solid football...this team will have a high pick again in '13. Playing the full 60 minutes is important and that im cool with...but when you are asking your players to give 100% for the whole game and you give them nearly 27 minutes of piss poor offensive play-calling, that's on the coaches.

The Bucs were unprepared offensively yesterday. It was if Greg Olsen's spirit inhabited Sullivan's body again...but this time not for just a half...but the final 58 minutes of the game.

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.

the bucs were far from spectacular...but they put themselves in many 3rd and shorts and simply failed to convert.  is that being unprepared?  sure, i guess unprepared encompasses everything.

I thought the defense played a full 60 mins. Its no question this offense needs work. Oh and Schiano feels the same way you do about not wanting to hope for a 1 in a 1,000,000 chance fumble. He prefers to win too. Thats why he goes for the fumble at the end of the game. Believe it or not its not just to show everybody hes a bad ass  ::)

Allow me to clear this up for you....the Bucs were 3-15 on third downs. Their running game was anemic. The passing game was extinct. Penalties galore. Dallas had a ton of injuries but the whole offense was out of sync and couldn't put together one long time consuming drive. If you want to pretend that the coaching had this team prepared and it was all on the players...then fine...go right ahead.

The third downs.
3rd and 1 from the Cows 3
3rd and 14 from own 17
3rd and 1 from own 29
3rd and 15 from own 42
3rd and 3 from Cows 47
3rd and 10 from own 49
3rd and 8 from own 22
3rd and 7 from own 22
3rd and 2 from own 41
3rd and 6 from Cows 42
3rd and 20 from Cows 41
3rd and 7 from own 15
3rd and 4 from own 15
3rd and 9 from own 21
3rd and 3 from Cows 10

I'm not seeing these "many" 3rd and short situations. 6 out of the 15 were for 5 yards or less.

Im fine with the move of going after the offense on the kneel-down. Even though I agree with that call....I still didn't "love" what I was seeing. Neither should you...and yes, I am telling you what you should feel. ;)

you are right.  i had looked earlier and looked at it from a fans point of view that we didnt pass enough.  all our 3rd and longs came from an ineffective passing game.  all our 3rd and shorts came from an ineffective rushing game.  my fault.

from what i can see when we tried to pass, we left ourselves in 3rd and longs.  when we ran, it was boring, but we left ourselves in 3rd and shorts, which we still didnt convert.

2nd drive - 1st play deep pass incomplete.
3rd drive - sack
4th drive - 3rd and 3.
5th drive - 3rd and 5 before penalty.
6th drive - passes on 2nd and 3rd down.
7th drive - 3rd and 6.
8th drive - 3 passes and a punt.
9th drive - passes on 2nd and 3rd.
10th drive - 3rd and 4.
