Not sure where this post is aimed. Used to have a dog, it bit my son. I grabbed it by the throat and took it to the pound immediately. You would've kept the dog, right??

You dont let a child around an animal unless your absolutely certain that animal is safe. Clearly Hate had no idea what he was doing with the animal, and had no idea how it interacted with kids.

Some dogs are not safe around kids.

I don't know if you are ignorant person...not what I said...but it was an ignorant statement. You don't know the in's and out's of someone's personal situation. You don't know if it was a puppy. You don't know if it was an accident that the kid was around the dog. No offense to Hate but the proof is in the pudding that he wasn't prepared to take in a dog, when his son gets bit by it and he immediately gets rid of it

FYI, it was a puppy but like any other dog.... or human for that matter, is subject to erratic behavior. Saying someone can predict when a dog is gonna bite is ridiculous!!

Young dogs and young children are a bad mix.  The kid grabs the dog and startles it, and the dog just reacts.   Young children and old dogs are a much safer option. The kids can ride the pony all day and the dog doesn't give a damn.

Ive never been "surprised" by a dog I owned.

Except when one of them jumped on the high counter and ate 2 redfish I just finished cooking.

Seriously though, I stand by my statements that most dogs ARE predictable and like one poster said "you dont mix puppies with puppies"

I've always found humor in the statement that a dog won't bite. I'm of the mindset.... if they eat, they'll bite. A human can snap and do something out of character.... why can't fido??
