Just make sure that you know ahead of time whether they will bite or not...

;)

I've always found humor in the statement that a dog won't bite. I'm of the mindset.... if they eat, they'll bite. A human can snap and do something out of character.... why can't fido??

Some breeds just dont have it in them.

Ive had 4 different dogs live to between 13-15 year old. I can tell you 3 of them would never bite anybody. Even if someone hit were to hit them, they would just wimper or try to get a way.. But no retaliation.

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.

Thats just flat wrong that you cant predict some dogs behavior.

If you know very little about dogs, then that might ring true.

It's not impossible, but it is certainly highly improbable.  Dogs are much more predictable and consistent in their behavior than humans by a long shot.  They are what they are trained to be.    The problem with people who say their dog won't bite however, is that many people haven't trained their dog to not bite, they only think they did.  A lot of times people get a dog and they think the only training is housebreaking them.  If they are trained and treated inconsistently then they will behave as such.  A dog that is trained and given consistent discipline and expectations int he first year or so will pretty much always be consistent.  Those patterns are ingrained very early.

Agreed.
