#Saints released former #Buccaneers, #Titans LB Barrett Ruud who they traded for from the #Seahawks earlier

Saints re-signed CB Elbert Mack and released LB Barrett Ruud.

It's been quite a fall for Ruud over the past couple of years, going from alleged star middle linebacker in Tampa to basically a street free agent-caliber player. Mack returns after LCB Jabari Greer re-aggravated his groin injury

funny that everyone screams at the Bucs FO for the Quincy Black contract, but most are silent about the decision NOT to give Ruud a big contract. Few years removed and he is almost out of the league

Let\\\\\\\'s Go Bucs!!

10 pages of BS...ready.set.go.

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.

I don't see anyone picking him up, unless some team gets totally devastated with injuries.    Even then...

\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\"

One old Buc for another old Buc. The Saints are bottom feeding.

The Panthers should sign him so he can tutor Kuechly in the ways of softness.

Bring him in.......no just joking.  Was never a big fan when he was a Buc.  Even Quincy is better right now, and that is sayin something.

Cut for Elbert Mack?

Oh my.....

Kiffin and Morris did a hell-of-a job hiding this guy's inadequacies.

Talk about rock bottom, the Saints have the worst defense in the NFL.

Back in the day I thought Ruud was bad, but I at least thought he could be a starter somewhere. I didn't expect him to be this bad.

I actually wouldn't mind picking him up as a backup since we have such crappy backups other than Hayward.

You think he would swallow some pride and play here as a back up?
