This is a prime game for him to have some big numbers.

A terrible defense and having to keep up with the Saints offense.

I think the saints will play 2 deep a lot leading to a big day for runningbacks, tightends and underwood. Freeman's stats 230 1 td 0 picks

Hopefully he puts points up and the run game works. I'm honestly more worried about our secondary than 5 right now.

I hope we can establish the run and eat up the clock = keeping Brees off the field.  I don't care what his numbers are as long as he protects the ball and keeps our defense off the field.

My prediction is a quick start. On the first two drives he'll be 8 of 12 for 128 yards and two TDs. Then we'll get an interception off Brees to make the score 21-0 and the rest of the day will be the Blount and Martin show with Freeman making a few well times throws.

Brees will come screaming back, but the Saints will fall short. Final score....34-31 Bucs.

Resurrection?

Up to this point he has 8 TD's, 5 Int's, avg 7.7 yards per pass attempt. Comp Pct is 55.2

Pretty above average numbers, but still more encouraging than last season.  The season is a marathon not a sprint.  If Freeman can keep this pace, and up his comp percentage (especially in the 1st/2nd quarter) I suspect some people will change their opinion about him.

After 5 games last year we were 3-2 but Freeman had thrown just 3 TDs to 6 Ints....so it's definitely more promising than last year.

Also, our 6th game last year was the Saints and we beat them 26-20.

He's ranked #19 in the NFL right now.  In a 32 team league, that's 3 below average.   I suspect if he ends up like this, some people will not change their opinion about him.

At least the 8 TDs part is good. Only seven QBs have more than 8 TDs....and they are the usual suspects considered elite...and almost all of them have played one more game than Josh. Really hope the passing game continues to evolve and improve. When it comes right down to it, everything really depends on Josh and the passing game.

I don't buy that eat up clock stuff. This is a new NFL. Strike fast if we can, not sure if we are able to with any kind of consistency. The big play seems to be our strength, play to the strength. Not against it.

This is a game, that because of the need for many points, falls directly onto Freeman's shoulders.
