Vikings' John Carlson out with a concussion

TE John Carlson could miss the next game after suffering a concussion against Arizona on Sunday. (US Presswire)

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said that the team came out of Sunday's game against Arizona with a few bumps and bruises, but generally in good health.

The only major concern is that TE John Carlson left the game with concussion-like symptoms after being injured on a special teams. Frazier said the league's concussion protocol requires several days to go through, making Carlson's availability questionable.

"We'll have to take him through the protocol over the next few days and in a short week, we don't expect him to (likely) make it, Frazier said.

The league requires the team to send out a practice injury report even though the team didn't practice on Monday (they had a short film session, checked with the trainer and departed).

The report included the following:

Did not participate: RB Adrian Peterson (ankle), DE Jared Allen (groin), CB Antoine Winfield (knee), TE John Carlson (concussion) and LT Matt Kalil (low back).

Limited participation: S Mistral Raymond (ankle) and S Harrison Smith (calf).

Full participation: CB Robert Blanton (hamstring), LB Marvin Mitchell (calf), QB Christian Ponder (knee), RB Matt Asiata (knee) and DL Fred Evans (knee).http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/nfl-rapidreports/20644204/vikings-john-carlson-out-with-a-concussion

I'm interested in seeing if our front seven can reboot so quickly from an emotional loss and shut down AP....and by shutdown I mean keep him under 100.

Draft Aaron Donald

I think if they keep AP under 100 this game should be a W.

Hell he had over 150 and it still took a defensive TD for them to beat Cards.

Bucs have great effort but lose a heart breaker 31 26

Pass for more yards and TDs, and win the turnover battle, and you win the game. Trouble is that their defense isn't going to let us do that so easy.

Bucs 23 Vikes 17. Well prove that our run D is for real and keep AD under the 100 yard mark. Everytime we play the vikings penn and jared allen usually battle pretty evenly. He might get one sack but wont be a huge factor. We will target their small CB with our big WR's and JF will pass for 300 and 2 tds 1 pick. Ponder will look mighty Brady Quinn ish take that 6.5 points.

This is not the Saints defense. There will be no 400 yards throwing and 200 yards receiving, that's for sure.

For a better gauge, look at the Giants game......not the Saints game.

When the opponent has good coverage, Freeman clams up and looks for the dump down play. Whether he does that because he doesn't have confidence, I don't know, but this will likely be one of those check down games for us. I don't see this as being a score fest.

You mean the Giants game where we dominated for three quarters and then got carved up like a Thanksgiving turkey in the 4th? I don't see that happening to the Vikings.
