I actually agree with that.   Very similar type of election.    Kerry and Romney are both horrible choices.    Then in 2008, Bush was so hated, that there was no way any Republican was going to win.   I see the same happening in 2016 where Obama will be so hated by that point that the Democratic candidate will have no chance to win.

I doubt that is wishful thinking.   So far Obama's popularity is about exactly what Bush's was after 4 years.    I don't know anyone who thinks he's done a good job.
