he was still the best corner on the team. Even if he was the 2nd best corner on the roster, trading him away isn't going to help us win games THIS YEAR.

How many games had he helped us win THIS YEAR. How many fewer games do you think we win THIS YEAR because he's not on the roster.  Dude, you can't lose value on something that has no value.

Good point. Talib wasn't really helping on Sundays so he had no Value. Johnson can fill in he was at least in position on WRs.

While we could really have used his talent its just not worth the down side.  Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Y'all are out your minds thinking trading away your best corner (regardless if he's a shutdown corner) won't have a significant negative impact on our defense.

Going 2-1 without him is more indicative of our offense exploding then anything to do with Talib.

He's never played a full season and went missing for most of the 2010 season. Talib is not Nicks he can be replaced. If he wasn't injured he was getting burnt all game.

i agree he can be replaced and we'll be a better team next year with this trade.

No one here is arguing that.

I've been a Talib supporter ON THE FIELD until this year. He's been absolute garbage in 2012. This is what happens when your problems outweigh your production. Bu-bye. Happy to get a 4th rounder for him.

"Absolute garbage" is a stretch. The only game he was bad in was the Giants game. That game aside, he actually has played well.
