Barron is not impressing me at all.
Does the team get Doug Martin or Lavonte David without making this trade? It's possible, but not definite.
Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.
Not giving up on Barron this early, but have to say Claiborne might have been the wiser choice looking back.

By now, I think most posters realize by staying at #5, we would NOT have gotten both David and Martin. Definitely way too early to give up on Barron. Without knowing actual player responsibilities, can't really judge his play. Other than failing to get his head around on a few coverage plays I recall, only his coaches know...
