Then how come they shut down Matt Ryan?

Why did they look so good running the cover two scheme?

Why did we wait until we were 250 yards away from the NFL record for worst pass defense before we made a change?

Ever wonder why Andy Reid's defense still sucked with the BEST CB's in football? If your defense sucks, it doesn't matter who you put back there.

Stick to your top-50 college players because you know zero about NFl defenses.

Maybe if you keep your head buried under the sand the defense will majically get better next year.

I hiope we get two shut down corners this off-season and run the same defense just so I can laugh at you JDUb.

How do you accouint for the fact that Lavonte David gave up more TD plays than our starting CB's combined? Is he a corner back?

Maybe if you keep whining like a broken record all off season it will make our defense better.

Any defense would suck with the CBs we had this year. Get yer head out yer ars.

Like those historically horrible corners Wright and Talib?  The defense sucked just as bad with them as it did with the UDFAs.  The problem back there goes beyond talent issues.

Talib sucks and was traded. Wright sucks and is on his way out. They weren't playing any better than their back ups.

And the impact of an elite guy there isn't as dramatic as one in a different spot.

I gotta say no to this part. Guys like Reed and Palumolu make as much impact as any pass rusher or cornerback. Elite is elite and it really doesn't matter where they play.

That's what I'm sayin ...

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

Sure in their prime offer up reed for freeny or bailey and see how fast BAL makes that deal. Not even close.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

not every rookie is an all pro.  heck, most arent.

So I guess asking a rookie who is a top 10 pick to be at least solid is out of the question?

no, i think we all wanted more out of barron.  complaining he's  a bust, we should have drafted another guy ,schiano and sheridan suck, yadda yadda yadda...thats out of the question for me.  certainly okay on a message board though.

Bottom line for me, he was unspectacular as a rookie but he was working with a secondary that would be 3rd string on most rosters. It's not an excuse, he made plenty of mistakes on his own, but the secondary works together as one or it doesn't work at all. Weakest link and all that. If we draft a young stud CB and sign a veteran CB for him to play with, I still think he could shine. Could even become a pro bowl level playmaker.

I look at Kam Chancellor in Seattle (who I really really wanted) and he looks great in the Legion of boom, but put him on this defense with our CBs and I'm sure he would struggle.

I'm not writing Barron off yet.

\\\\\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\\\\\"

And that should tell you the issue isn't about talent.

It tells me what I already knew. Talib has always been over rated and inconsistant.....and Wright has never been anything more than an over paid average #2 CB.

Belichick also brought in Fat Albert Haynesworth and Kellen Winslow Jr. . Belichick is not always right.
