I was curious and took a look at our roster; I show only 5 draftees from the Gruden years (2002-2008) left on the Bucs roster of 60 (counting IR):

2006 - Joseph & Trueblood
2007 - Hayward & Q. Black
2008 - Zuttah

Penn & Economos (2006) are the UFA's still here.
Wow; had no idea it was THAT bad...

There wasn't much talent on that 2008 team.   Gruden was such a fantastic head coach that he was able to coach up garbage into a winning team.   Dude is a coaching genius.

Me either. Glad the drafting part of Gruden is gone.

Man.  Five players?  That's not much better than Dungy, who still has one draftee on this team.

I feel like Gruden was dealt a bad hand in '08. The coach and GM we had from 2002-2008 really screwed him over in terms of roster talent.  :'(

Ahhh, it's so nice that Gruden is gone for good and soon to be someone else's problem. I'd love it if he went to Philly or New Orleans, but my unrealistic favorite choice of a team for him to dismantle is Atlanta.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

The average NFL career is about 3 years.  Gruden had his faults and this was one of them.  I thought Dominick was there the whole time.

True.   The bad personnel decisions were probably his fault.

Gruden progressively turned us into one of the most incompetent teams in football. Thank god for Schiano

Winning the division in 2007 and almost winning the division in 2008 is far from incompetent.   Hell, the team hasn't won the division once since Gruden left.   And they won't win it this year either.

Ill take Rah's youngry team over the 2007 or 2008 squads.

Also, Gruden single handily took us out of the playoffs in '08.. So dont give me that crap

Gruden single handedly coached a poor team to a 9-7 record in 2008.   That was pure genius.   And 2007 was even better.

Rah's yungry team lost it's last 10 games in humiliating fashion.   Ya, real impressive.

Gruden's current salary is higher than Schiano's.   He's far from unemployed.

Corrected it for you.

Unfortunately though we lost 4 easy games in a row to close out the season...A couple of them can easily be attributed to poor coaching and depth decisions. Including a "playoff" game at home vs the Jamarcus Russell led Raiders.  Glad he got canned after that atrocity.
