Hot damn, I wish we would've.traded up for him. First and second rounders for him. He and Bennett at DE on our line would've been illegal.

Isn't he a 3-4 LB/DE? That wouldn't have never worked out with RAheem's scheme or coach Schiano's current scheme.

Aldon Smith is a pass rusher.  He would get to the QB no matter how he lined up.

Same body type as Simeon Rice. Who knows how he would've faired in Morris or Schianos D. Hell he might've helped Raheem save his job......nah. LOL

 No disrespect to Adrian and DaQuan, but Aldon is just a beast. Natural Born QB Killer. Single-handedly destroyed the Steelers OL last year.And he's doing to SF's OL tonight. Elite pass rushers do not grow on trees, you gotta snatch them up as soon as you can.

Aldon is a great player, but I'm completely satisfied with Clayborn, Bennett, and Bowers at this point. Also, while hes had to deal with injuries in recent seasons, I am content with McCoy too.

Serious? Carlos rodgers, Goldson, Whitner and Culliver off the top of my head. Rodgers and Goldson are pretty big names.

Goldson and Rogers were both JAGs until 2011. (Regardless of what they did in college.

Elite pass rushers can make your secondary into pro bowlers.

Carlos was a redskin then a 49er never a jag.

I think the 49ers drafted Goldson.
