"Safest pick in the draft" that year in the early part of Round 1.  That is what all of the draft experts said.  Just goes to show you that you really just never know

He was the man at Wake Forest. Looking at how his career has panned out, damn.

He was taken 4th overall by the Seahawks in 2009. He was touted as the safest pick in the draft and in years.

Brian Orakpo and Brian Cushing were taken 13th and 15th. Clay Matthews 26th.  James Laurinaitis was 35th.

Just reminds me that it's all a crap shoot and we are extremely lucky for this year's draft!

He only missed 6 games in his first 3 years. This was his 4th year and he hasn't played because he hasn't earned playing time. Not sure about the injuries you speak of.

Could be wrong but I thought he was out all year due to a knee problem

I would bring him in for a look.  Who says that the Raiders know what they are doing? Look at their team, they could most certainly be cutting the wrong people and/or their coaching really sucks. He could come here and be a beast! If not, what have you lost? Nothing

You are correct.

Missed the entire off season with a knee issue and was thrown on the PUP.

Finally came off the PUP, played 20 some snaps, then they axed him.

I'm sure his knee is still fooked.

Pete Carrol and the Seahawks look like they know exactly what they are doing on defense, and they cut him too.

He is done guys. Curry is one of the dumbest linebackers out in the NFL. Pass

Its a shame because he was the ultimate all-around linebacker. Could blitz, pass rush, play coverage, and anchor the run. Total bust

Actually he was never much of a pass rusher, which is why I thought it was a stupid pick from the get go. If a linebacker isn't an elite pass rusher, taking him top 5 is just bad.
