I usually buy Madden, but I decided no to this year because of the decimation of career mode.  I was just curious to hear from some Madden players how the rating updates have affected the Bucs players so far this season?

Dougie jumped from a 76 to a 87 lol and they are 81 overall.

Career mode is not decimated. Pretty much the same thing except for scouting

Bucs overall rating started around 72-73 with the league bottom dwellers, now there around 81 like the previous poster stated.  Thats a top 10-15 team.

I also remember Lavonte starting out with a lowly rating in the 60's I believe hes in the high 70's now  which is fair for a rookie LB.

What kind of new stuff did they add to franchise/career mode if any thing? Picked up Madden 12/NCAA12, but haven't got any newer versions.

Doston has got huge rating boost, think he is up to about 80 now. Meredith blows chunks. I can't play with the Bucs online because our DBs are so god awful they get burnt all the time

Wow. That is ridiculously low, terrible job on the ratings if true.

3SK,
One thing that some Maddenites don't like is now they can't add "themselves" to the roster in the coach mode. You can create yourself and use yourself in "quick play" games or play as yourself in career mode, but then you only control yourself. Whereas in previous versions you could create yourself and add "you" to the roster in a gm/coach mode where you control the team as a whole.

Yeah I just checked this morning. Dotson is sitting at an 80 and so is Lavonte David now. Both guys were like a 72-74 at best. Dotson is having a good year if he keeps it up he should continue to improve. David is being "shafted" he should be a 88 rating like Doug Martin is.

But yeah I wouldn't suggest playing with Tampa, those cornerbacks are terrible. Likewise in the real world.

No problem to me, I'm sure there is some workaround if that was the big issue. I've noticed in the Superstar modes and sometimes in the franchise modes, you don't see any small clips of pregame commentary. Call it excessive if you will, but I enjoyed those little tid bits, made it feel more realistic.

Has Barron's rating tanked? 68 would be fair.

If not for his big hit ability after a marginal gain, it would be lower. ;)

Donald Penn is an "88" . How is he so high ?

Don't they know that Biggs has been counting some "hurries" as he watches his VHS game tapes down in his mom's basement ?

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

I don't have internet connection for my ps3; i don't update rosters; but, I recall Lavonte was ranked 77 overal.  Foster is ranked pretty low; i have Quincy in the middle which shows some good results; i also have Lavonte and Heyward starting outside linebackers with good results as well.

Texas Alexander(probably with Lonnie Johnson) - Bellcow blues,

No clue. Would be nice if he played at an "88" level every Sunday.
