Career mode is not decimated. Pretty much the same thing except for scouting

I rented and played for a couple of weeks when it first came out.  After the first off-season I was no longer able to make trades.  That's kind of an important thing in franchise mode.  I also didn't like how resigning players worked.  If I want to offer a player a contract extension, I should be able to.  I shouldn't have to wait for the player to be in the last year of his contract.  Oh, and the menus were incredibly frustrating to navigate IMO.

What kind of new stuff did they add to franchise/career mode if any thing? Picked up Madden 12/NCAA12, but haven't got any newer versions.

One thing that some Maddenites don't like is now they can't add "themselves" to the roster in the coach mode. You can create yourself and use yourself in "quick play" games or play as yourself in career mode, but then you only control yourself. Whereas in previous versions you could create yourself and add "you" to the roster in a gm/coach mode where you control the team as a whole.

Actually you can add players and use a saved roster in career mode.  I dont like how you cant change players positions in season for example SS to FS or tackle to guard.  Also, for some reason every player on my team wheres a "C" after the first year.  Its full of glitches like how you cant trade players after the first year... such a huge let down to be honest.

Connected Careers is like a RPG now, you have to use gain XP to make your coach and players better. Its kinda lame.

Donald Penn is an "88" . How is he so high ?

No clue. Would be nice if he played at an "88" level every Sunday.

Lol. HMU when Penn has an all pro selection. Pro bowl is a sham. Davin Joseph was one of the worst guards in the league last year...but still made the pro bowl.

Seems Penn has moved up to 89 in the ratings , btw. Apparently they don't use the same criteria for imaginery "hurries" as you and Biggs do.

Low 80s is where I would put him. He is too inconsistent to be up around 90. He is just another case of where his reputation doesn't exactly match what he puts on "tape"
