OK, they're good. We grant that. But their late-season schedule is soooo bad that we have no real measure of how good. Will they storm into the playoffs as the newest NFL powerhouse? Or will they pop like a balloon at the slightest playoff resistance? The Broncos' 17-9 victory Sunday at Kansas City provided no further clues. Anything in the AFC West below a mile high is in shambles. Denver's game in two weeks at Baltimore might take on more meaning than it really should because it will be our only chance to assess how good the Broncos have become.

Honestly, I think we have a solid chance IF we can keep the mistakes to a minimum, if KC can hold them to 17, then we sure as hell can. Hope our D is up to the Challenge of facing the future HOFer Manning

We can win, but we'll have to play much better than we have the last two weeks.

Manning has some injured lineman and last week was taken off the field for concussion tests. If we can get to him and put him on the ground we have a shot. They also are missing their starting running back. So the missing RB and lineman mean we should be able to severely limit the run game and force manning them to become one dimensional. Lots of passing and pressure, even Peyton Manning will make a few mistakes.

" we should be able to severely limit the run game and force manning them to become one dimensional. "

If we can force a matchup between Manning and the worst pass defense in the NFL, they'll never see it coming!

What we need is our run game/pass action to get back to awesomeness. We need to run effectively and use up the clock to keep Manning off the field. He's going to use the no huddle and audible to destroy our secondary. As the high altitude takes its toll, our secondary will get worse and worse. Especially if they are on the field all night.

We also can't become one dimensional or their pass rush will eat Freeman alive. Our o-line will tire quickly in the high altitude. It's going to come down to running g effectively. I'd consider getting Blount involved and running 35-40 times if possible.

Man, wouldn't I love to see that! Unfortunately, however, I'm thinking we've seen the last of Blount.

Barometer or not, the broncos were a good team even without manning. It's going to be tough for the Bucs.

KC is a sorry team, but their defensive backfield is arguably better. That, and also the fact that the Bucs are again having trouble getting behind the LOS. IF (big if) they can have manning running around, they might have a chance. Two - four man fronts will not do. And constant one on ones will only get Tampa blown out eventually.

The ONLY option is to get into Manning's face IMO.

Naismith was right about Revis. Everyone else is a dummy.

Speaking of barometers. Nice partly cloudy weather and temps in the 60s expected this weekend in Denver.

You can't take too much from KC holding them to 17 points, it was a divisional game and we all know that records, stats, streaks, etc get thrown out the window when it comes to divisional games.

As much as I hate to say it I can't see us pulling this game off, Manning vs our secondary with very little real pass rush up front equals disaster IMO.
