Yes I know the rest of our CBs leave much to be desired, but I feel like I see universal approval for Gaiter. Is this just because he hasn't yet proven he can't do it?  or have you all seen something I have missed?  At this point, I think Gaiter is more unproven than many whom we have more film on.  What is it that has people so excited for this kid?

I ask these questions in all honesty, not trying to smack talk or deny skills, I honestly don't know.

Yea, "hype" might be the wrong word here. I think curiosity would fit. Many just want to see what he can do given the opportunity of maybe 20(or so) snaps. I don't think there are many here who feel that he will realistically be on the team in 2-3 years. He is one of those late round guys that you just throw against the wall and hope they stick.

Until preseason, you stay classy Red Board.

I guess at this point, the unknown is better than what we've seen most of the season.  I get it.

For his size he shut down julio in college, if I'm not mistaken, but this is the nfl.

Who is hyping him? I don't think I have ever seen him make a play.  The fact that Morris thought he was good enough to draft is telling enough.

Gaitor has the IT factor, he has the best ball awareness Iv'e seen on this team. His recovery speed is incredible. Slot corner with Ronde ball skills. Watch his college film, he is a play maker. He can cover the quick  slot receivers, and the special running backs like Sproles out of the backfield.

As you can tell I'm a big fan....

Looking for big things from him next year

He can take Ronde's place as the DB with the most misspelled name. Good ol' Rhonde and Gaiter.

Thanks for the spelling correction, with any luck I'll need to know for future posts.  Watched some highlights from JDubs video link, too much buffering for my lame connection, and was wondering if ANYONE goes to FIU games.  Their stands resembled a middle school football game, with more players on the field than parents/fans in the stands.

Looks like he can jump a route.  Hope he can cover down the field for an extended period of time.  At least he come in against the Eagles, not too much pressure there.

I know I was excited when we drafted him after watching his highlight clip. I don't think he's going to be a #1 or #2, but he has all the qualities to be an outstanding Nickel.
