While we have done poorly, it's been a while since we've gotten the #1 pick in the draft. In the other years, we do stupid stuff like drafting Caddy Williams over Aaron Rodgers. We were lucky to get Freeman.

Luck is one of those rare guys like Elway.   The Bucs never get lucky enough to have the #1 pick in a draft when a guy like that is available.   Sucks.

So we could have used a QB and passed on Rodgers, but it's okay because other teams did as well. Still a fail.

Gruden didn't have the luxury of picking a QB that year.    He needed to win immediately or be fired after that 2004 season.   That dictated picking the RB.

I have a been a fan since the beginning. I didn't know the fans ran the team, however. Here, all this time, I thought the Glazers ran the team.
