Bucs pose test for Eagles rookie Bryce Brown

Eagles rookie running back Bryce Brown has opened many eyes in the past two weeks, running for a combined 347 yards in his past two games -- the first starts of his career.

This week, he faces a stiffer test than in either of his past two games, with Tampa Bay’s top-ranked rushing defense awaiting at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.

Brown has burst on the scene after playing just one game in the past two seasons at Kansas State.

The Bucs practiced in pads on Wednesday and are looking to play physically against the 220-pound back.

Brown, coach Greg Schiano said,  is “a very explosive runner. He’s big, he gets it and goes zero to 60 like that. Has good vision, but he can bounce things and has the speed that’s unusual for a guy his size. He can bounce things and run away from you.”

Making Brown more dangerous is the scheme the Eagles run, Bucs defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan said.

“They’re rushing attack, the way they run the wide zone plays, really lends itself to (Brown’s) abilities,” he said. “So, I think he’s perfect for what they do on offense.”

This guy shouldn't worry us a bit. We already have a guy on our roster that is pretty much comparable.
