It's indisputable, losing out is what's best for the team right now.
If they do lose the rest this season, Schiano needs to be fired.
Actually....I was around for the 1996 team. I was in Houlihan that season. Explain how the 1996 season has anything to do with this discussion. This team already has the improvement from last season, the "learning to win" or whatever you're going to say. There was no momentum gained in 1996 that carried over to 97, as they finished mediocrely in 1996 too. So no, I do not buy that comparison.
I'd be very discouraged if we lost out. I'm still looking for improvement from a few areas

So no, I do not buy that comparison.Momentum WAS gained from 1996 to 1997 -Having gone 6–10 season the 1996 season, Tampa Bay finished second in the NFC Central, and secured their first playoff berth since 1982. Had the Bucs tanked the 1996 season, Dungy's first for draft position, like you're recommending for Schiano's first, who knows what would have happened.
I think that the team lost 10 games in a row, and came into this season with confidence.
