I agree that Flacco is an ideal comparison for Josh with the inconsistent play....strangely enough they've also had issues with receivers who cannot create separation....but now Freeman has VJax so that should explain the edge he currently has with numbers. Both are maddening to watch if you're a fan of either team...

Fair point. But are those guys markedly better than Flacco? I could never argue against a guy(s) with 2 rings but in terms of consistency, they are pretty equal. Eli and Ben have a fair amount of sub par games also.

Not a bad comp. I do see the Flacco comparison though.

Free's biggest problem is not completing enough passes that just move the chains. I don't know if it's route running, his inaccuracy, combo of the two or the team would prefer to chuck it deep but I do believe it's going to be difficult to be consistent if the team doesn't complete more short to intermediate passes that just keep a drive alive.

If the Bucs had the Giants, Steelers or Texans defense chances are the Bucs are 9-4 or something like that.

    Actually a very good comparison. Both kinda erratic at consistantly keeping drives alive, and both with great arms strength. And Flacco is 27, Freeman 24....

Not a bad comp. I do see the Flacco comparison though.

Brooks had one legitimately strong season, 2003 where he went 59% 24/8. If we could get that every year from Freeman we'd have it made. But every other year Brooks threw at least 15 INT's and never had a QB rating above 80 other than in 2003. Freeman has already had one season with only 6 INT's, will probably finish this season with 10-11, and has already had two seasons with QB ratings in the 90's. He's clearly better than Brooks.

Freeman is better than Flacco.  If I were Alabama I wouldn't take Flacco over... whoever they're QB is.  That's how bad Flacco is.  I don't even know who the QB is at Alabama and I'd choose him over Flacco.  The Flacco stinks.
