Suppose Barber retires at the end of this year; and suppose the Bucs keep Wright; and suppose the Bucs draft Banks in the 1st round and now want to get a safety in the second round to repalce Barber.

Still on the board are Elam of Fla, McDonald of USC and Jefferson of Okla.

Whom would you take???

Thanks for your opinions.

If I had to pick one it would be Elam, I suppose!

Ahmad Black has looked better than Barron. I'm pretty sure he will step right in at FS if Barber calls it quits.

Tony Jefferson. Would like to acquire another 2nd rounder and get Amerson as well.

This.

But I wouldn't overlook Barron just yet. Dude was a rookie afterall. But yeah, Black has been playing well.

Naismith was right about Revis. Everyone else is a dummy.

Agreed.   So they are set at SS with Black.    Trade Barron for a 4th round pick.   Draft 2 corners and a free safety.

I'd draft Amerson and try him at both Corner and S

I think we are good at safety with Black and Barron. There are lots of good corner backs in this draft, so we should be able to get one. Maybe grab another safety in the mid rounds if he's the best available player. Certainly not a top priority though.

I see Black replacing Ronde when he retires. Black has the instincts of a good FS and IMO is starter material at FS. That leaves us thin for b/u's on the surface, but coaches need to factor in Tandy's development, Cody Grimm's health, and Sean Baker, who looked good in pre-season. Sean is now on our PS...

Maybe S can draft a safety with his first pick this year, to pair up with Barron.  We can have TWO first round safeties!  BOOM!

Your head explodes.
