Josh Freeman happened to the Saints.  And the Secondary happened to Brees.

Yeah..Josh Freeman is basket case ... He doesn't shoulder all the blame but most of our offensive struggles can be blamed on him.

Freeman has improved and I was wrong about him.

Why did the Bucs lose against the Saints?

because the Saints scored more pts than we did

Fans need to give the Saints credit. Their defense stepped it up big time yesterday. I was predicted Martin was going to have a big game and they shut him down. They shut down V. Jackson for until the fourth. They had a better game plan the executed it.

There are plenty of reasons, the biggest though is Freeman.  I mentioned it in another thread, people get the misguided impression that teams are game planning against Jackson or Williams or Martin... they're not.  Not at all.  They're solely game plannning against Freeman.  He can only throw the ball deep and dump offs.  He can not work in the middle of the field.  All teams have to do is take away the deep ball.  If it's not there he panics.  Ball game over.  We've seen this same thing 4 weeks in a row now.  I think it's pretty obvious.

Teams have learned....just stop the run and force Freeman to beat you.

You forgot these??

and this..

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.
