Maybe the defense is bad because Freeman cannot sustain drives on a regular basis

or maybe...

The bad defense excuse is such a **CENSORED**ing joke. The Redskins and Colts defenses are just as bad as ours. They are actually giving up more points per game than we are....hows that working for RG3 and Luck? Two rookies are over coming crappy defenses, but we shouldn't expect our 4th year QB to be able to? GFTO.

Maybe if Freeman could effectively run the short to medium passing game and keep drives going...the horrible defense wouldn't be on the field so damn much. He can't though. All he can do is throw deep jump balls when the running game is opening things up. Otherwise he just flakes out and sucks out loud.

Our offense has scored more than Indy and 2 points per game less than the Redskins.  Explain why they have more wins than us?

Scoring 40 points on the Raiders and Chiefs might have boosted our points per game stat, but that doesn't mean we have an efficient offense or that we can manage the clock. The Redskins do well at long clock eating drives and the Colts excel at 4th quarter magic. We excel at beating bad teams and getting crushed by everyone else.

No question.

I don't know the answer to this question, but I am curious. Out of 60 quarters played this season, we've scored either 0 or 3 points in 23 quarters. I'd love to know how that matches up with the rest of the league. This is probably the best way to show how consistent an offense is.

*Just realized this is including defensive TDs also, so it's not totally accurate.

Freeman has shown flashes.  Personally, I'd like to see what he looks like Year 2 with this coaching staff and offensive personnel.  Injuries can't be an excuse but behind the projected first team OL that offense will most certainly look better.

The pass defense has been a consistent problem.  With upgrades at certain defensive positions the team should be able to avoid some of the same close losses that occurred this season.

That said, this season has been undoubtedly more enjoyable to watch than last year's debacle.

No playoffs next year is going to require some serious housecleaning.

As far as beating bad teams and getting stomped by good ones, I was referring to the last four years in general, not just this season....but the Broncos also stomped us this year. Just because we scored some points in garbage time doesn't change the fact they dominated us.

There's truth in the first part, straight frustration in the last.
Bucs had their lunches packed by the Saints on Sunday, no doubt.
Let's hope that was a one-time deal this year.

I'm just referring to Freeman's carreer in general. Seems like every time we play a top team like the Steelers, Patriots, Ravens ect....Freeman sucks and we get dominated.

First time was when we got destroyed by the Charle Batch led Steelers in 2010, and it's a trend that has seemed to continue ever since.

Yeah, I caught that after I hit send and saw your response to someone else.

The QB usually does get the blame but offensively and defensively we aren't ready for prime time yet.

I personally believe that the arrow is pointing up and the team will win against some contenders next season.

Will it be the powerhouse teams you listed above?  Too soon to tell but there is still room to grow with this young team.

Redskins scored 38 against the vikings and the Browns, only 13 in a LOSS to the Panthers.  What will you throw next?

1. Chances are Luck and RGIII are and/or are going to be better than Freeman. They were the #1 and #2 picks for a reason.

2. Indy has been incredibly lucky when it comes to winning and losing games. Over the course of the season the Colts have been outscored by 49 points yet are 9-5. So they're basically winning every game they win by 1 point and getting their doors blown off in the others. The Bucs have actually outscored their opponents by 5 points yet are 6-8. So they're losing a bunch of games by 1 point and then when they win they do it by bigger margins. Luck really hasn't been very good. He has a lower completion % than Freeman, lower YPA, fewer TD's, and more INT's.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.
