Dri Archer from Kent State has caught my eye. Most will say he is to small for the NFL but I still think after the combine he will get more attention. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=MJ6KTBV5vqk

the more i watch conner vernon the more i want us to draft him later on, 6th round, and play him in the slot. seems like a schiano guy. hard worker, obviously smart since he goes to Duke, great hands and route running

Agreed.  I really like him as a slot guy.

Vernon's route running really impressed me lastnight. he ran a 10yard out and stuck his foot in the ground and turned toward the sideline and made a great catch right before going OB. hes very precise has great hands and outstanding concentration. if he runs a good 40 we might have to make a move a round or 2 earlier

I think you may be over hyping vernon...nice player but not a starter nor worthy of a second rd pick..he isn't the best athlete, he doesn't have great size, and he lacks giddy up..

im not overhyping him in the least. if you read my previous posts i mentioned taking him in the 5th or 6th round. Vernon is a lot faster than you think. hes reported to be running in the low 4.5s and hes 6'1. hes not a calvin johnson but he can be a VERY good slot receiver.

unless that 4.5 WO is 6ft 3 and 215 or bigger, he don't play on my team..

I want a waterbug in the slot

id rather have a guy who has sure hands and runs good routes. take tiquan underwood for example, hes got average at best hands and hes fast but hes always running crappy routes. id rather have a guy that knows how to run the proper route, get seperation and find holes in the defense and get the yards you need for first downs

Markus Wheaton is a WO I like to man the slot.. My top WO period, C Patterson, he will find himself in the top 20 once he shows off during his workouts and drills...

Agreed on the need for a good route runner with great hands in the slot, but it's not a priority.  Freeman simply doesn't have the accuracy to take advantage of a good slot WR anyways.  I'm not trying to pile on top of Freeman, but it's simply not the strength of his game.

Corners in all seven rounds.

That is all.

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

I like him a lot too.  Haven't had a chance to watch the whole Rutgers game yet, but I did see he made some big plays.  I just don't see a place for him on this team, though.  He's too small to play SAM, and he'll go too high for us to pick a backup WILL.  If we didn't already have David...
