A few players that never lived up to their preseason hype.

Charles Lee
Derek Watson
Kareem Huggins - a real shame
Paris Warren

Who else?

Charles Lee actually got to be a starter, and had some 50+ yard games and actually did something in the regular season.

Guys like Parris Warren never did much of anything. Even worse are guys like Chas Gessner who had a lot of hype, and didn't even do anything in preseason, they're just training camp nobodies.

Fans who attend training camp tend to get enamored by guys who they see giving it their all in training camp, but it's just not a very accurate way to judge how players really are. Most of it is because they're giving it 110% effort since they're trying to make the team. In a real game situation versus another team, they just don't have the talent to keep up with other players.

Another example is Rudy Carpenter, there's trolls like Java who said that he was better than Freeman, only to annoy us, but there's legitimately people who attended training camp who thought that he was an NFL level QB. Sure he's accurate in training camp and against 3rd stringers, but there's no way that he could ever go up against 1st stringers.
