Perhaps. But record-wise we are in a 3 way tie for 2nd. However, if we get a 4th place schedule for next season I'm okay with it.

The Panthers swept the Saints and the Saints swept the Bucs.    So that sweep over the Panthers by the Bucs doesn't matter.    It drops to a different tie breaker.

Or a 3 way tie for 4th.

Ties are always referenced by the highest position. Since we all finished 7-9, we will all be listed as tied for 2nd place in the division.

Yeah, but 2 of the games on our schedule next season DEPEND on which place we finish.... 2nd, 3rd, or 4th...

CAR: vs TB 0-2, vs NO 2-0......total 2-2

2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.

All three split their meetings with ATL, so 3-3 division record

3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.

It's going to go down the list on tie breakers, because we swept Carolina, Carolina swept New Orleans, and New Orleans swept us.

Well, that's one good thing.   I'd rather have the higher draft pick, but a weaker schedule is also good.    The Bucs should have just lost this meaningless game and gone into next year with everything in their favor.
